The
lodge is located in the heart of the reserve, 3 Km
far from the entrance in the Transpantaneira road.
By the side of river Novo and under the shadow of huge
leafy trees, it is constituted by a group of several
individual nature-respectful low buildings, earth-coloured
and with brown tile roofs. Four of them, rectangular-shaped,
are destined to administration, laundry, service staff,
guides, bar and interpretation center. Another small
group of rounded huts is appointed to several common
areas, such as the restaurant, kitchen and food-store,
a second bar or the Internet room. The ones destined
to ecotourism and nature researchers are six square
buildings (Mutúm, Jacaré, Capivara,
Tucano, Sucurí and Tamanduá).
Each of them, surrounded by a 200 m2 porch
with chairs and hammocks, has four independent rooms,
all of them with complete individual bathroom and hot
water, electric fan and ample windows with mosquito
nets. Every room (to choose between double or matrimony
beds) has craft furniture with clothes shelves, side
tables and writing desk.
You can request
Tamanduá suite building, which
has two rooms and a large private living room for those
who need to meet or work during their sojourn.
Restaurant Curicaca
is one of the main privileges of the lodge. Round-shape
built and completely opened, surrounded by mosquito
net, it is located in the most external part of the
lodge, in contact with the dense jungle, and, like
a hide, it constitutes a perfect observatory to watch
wildlife during lunch and dinner, as well as taking
pictures through its observation window. Completely
craft-elaborate, its seven big individual rustic-wood
tables offer capacity for all the guests of the lodge.
In the central round table you will find at your disposal
a varied regional meals buffet or, if you prefer, our
a la carte menu. It all with the highest quality and
accompanied by the varied drinks needed.
During the break
moments or when no one of our activities is requested,
visitors will have at their disposal our swimming pool
and gardens, as well as both bars Tuiuiú
(next to the restaurant) and Tapir
(next to the swimming pool), where you will enjoy the
traditional caipirinhas or any other cocktail or refreshment.
Also,
our computer room with Internet connection is available
in any moment when needed. Anyway, we have wireless
Wi-Fi connection along the whole area
for those who prefer to connect with their own computer.
